Atlanta’s Bijan Robinson delivered a career performance Monday night in the midst of an impressive season, yet when the game ended, his attention immediately turned to faith. The running back rushed 19 times for 170 yards and one touchdown while adding six catches and 68 yards, as the host Falcons defeated Buffalo 24-14 on a national stage – making a statement that Atlanta (3-2) is a legitimate Super Bowl contender.

Asked by ESPN to comment on the game’s significance, Robinson immediately shifted the conversation to faith.

“First off, you know, I just want to give all glory to Jesus, God,” he told a national television audience. “Without God, none of this would happen. I give Him all the glory, honor so everybody can see Him through us and Him through me. It's just such a blessing to be out here and to give Him so much glory every time we step on the field.”

It was the second straight week the Falcons defeated a team that had played in one of the two conference championships. Last week Atlanta beat Washington, which advanced to the NFC Championship in January. Buffalo played in last season’s AFC Championship.

“This was a big game for us,” Robinson said. “All the eyes are on us. We had to come out here and be physical and prove a point. And man, it was such a blessing that we got to do what we do and come out with a win.”

Asked what is driving his domination, Robinson replied, “It's just all God.”

According to NFL.com, Robinson has tallied 484 rushing yards and 338 receiving yards through six weeks, making him the first player since Hall of Famer Thurman Thomas in 1991 to surpass 450 rushing yards and 300 receiving yards in the first five games of a season.

“He's the best player in football,” Atlanta coach Raheem Morris said after the game. “I've said it multiple times. I can't say it enough. You can always have your pick. You can always go out there and figure out who you want to vote for, but in my opinion he's the best player in football.”

Robinson’s Instagram bio reads simply: “Trust in the Lord. Let’s make God Famous.”
